Bristol Big'Uns
Welcome to our forums. The Bristol Big'Uns are a group of people who enjoy fantasy, science fiction and historical wargames. We tend to play mostly table-top wargames but you will sometimes see CCGs, CMGs, RPGs or board games. If this sounds like a hobby you currently enjoy then why not come along. The club is based at Iron Acton, between Bristol and Yate, in the recently refurbished Parish Hall and is held Sunday evenings from 6 pm until 10 pm. There are tables and chairs available plus various sized scenic mats and terrain for table-top wargames. Please bring with you any drinks or snacks that you require.

Hi everyone. For those of you who like blood bowl and obviously cannot meet up to play it there is a pc game called blood bowl chaos edition. Features 23 playable races, each with its own style, vicious moves, rankings & more.

£12 on steam for pc and does not require a powerful system. I could also sort out a discord server so if you have a mic we can talk to each other. Really missing you gents at this difficult time.

Stay safe.

Some of you may or may not know about this website.

Basically you can design your own custom miniatures choosing size, physical build, clothing and equipment both sci-fi and fantasy or a mix if you so please. They are on the expensive side but would make a great hero/lord/leader for pretty much any force and game type (I think).

So just thought you may be interested.

Get yourself a box of surgical gloves. make sure you use your own dice and tape measures. If you display any of the symptoms (headaches, fever, coughing, muscle pain that is not accounted for) then keep yourself isolated. The media is blowing this out of proportion it is impossible to go a day without touching something that someone else has. The virus can only survive out of a host for a short period of time and as we only meet once a week anything on the tables or terrain would be long dead. I'm speaking as a trained army medic here who is trained in infection control. I agree we need to be aware and careful of this but not bringing our lives to a halt over it.

I was planning on coming tonight but it seems I need to do dog sitting for my parents. I will be there next week for sure as me and Nige have a game. I have parts for 20 Chainrasps now I don't know how many you would like Steve. Also wondering if you want the round bases that came with them or are you going to put them on square ones?

I would put them to very good use. As I play a lot of 40k I was thinking of having them as crusaders. No guns so they could always be used for fantasy or mortal realms and pretty much any fantasy based systems.

Hello everyone.

I'm hoping to put together a 4 way kill team game. Either bring your own team or you can use one of the ones I have carefully made so they are all matched fairly. It would have to be a rather quick fire game so we had the time to get it done. If you don't have the rules I will be bringing them along and if its going to be a few weeks down the line you can borrow my book and photocopy/scan the relevant pages. Would really love to give this a go and if it all goes tits up at least we can laugh about it.

sounds good to me. I have spoke to gw about the rules and found I was getting my army wrong in terms of points. I can get a list together easily now. As for the books I may still need them. But if you have the app handy that would speed things along.

4000 pts would be way too much for a Sunday evening. do you have the new codex and also they have changed the points costs of a lot of things in the chapter approved 2018. I can scan and print out the page for you if you want.

I saw the thing about no proxies.... is this gw's way of sneakily trying to shut down 3rd party companies. For example I made my own drop trooper squad which they don't make anymore but still publish the rules. Seems like they are taking the creativity out of a creative hobby. Though the new kill team starter set seems great. I went to buy one last week only to be told the old one had been discontinued. It does come with a core rules book (as far as I can see) which I already have. So if I get it and anyone wants the book they can have it.
