Bristol Big'Uns
Welcome to our forums. The Bristol Big'Uns are a group of people who enjoy fantasy, science fiction and historical wargames. We tend to play mostly table-top wargames but you will sometimes see CCGs, CMGs, RPGs or board games. If this sounds like a hobby you currently enjoy then why not come along. The club is based at Iron Acton, between Bristol and Yate, in the recently refurbished Parish Hall and is held Sunday evenings from 6 pm until 10 pm. There are tables and chairs available plus various sized scenic mats and terrain for table-top wargames. Please bring with you any drinks or snacks that you require.

I switched up to lieutenant and will add the funds to get the stl bundle on the pledge manager.

Im thinking GCPS and Nameless or possibly rats..

The GCPS I might theme them to Mazon labs with some plague mixed in even if they play as default boring gcps

the xl building pack is £100
Captain pledge is £149 - only includes 1 rulebook and dice set.
extra rulebooks (£20 each) £60
extra command dice sets £30
STL mega pack £125
Total £464 which is £116 if 4 people jump in.

My pledge is currently £104 for a single army + reinforcements so for me it would be a good deal..

A lieutent pledge at £89 - only includes 1 rulebook and dice set.
the xl building pack is £100
extra rulebook £20
extra command dice sets£10
STL mega pack £125

Total £344 which is £172 for the 2 involved not so good

A nice touch is that they send you a PDF of the rules on release day when you order a hardcopy of the rulebook.

Yep mine turned up this morning, hate trying to read stuff on a computer or tablet though so will await the delivery of the real thing.

Just as an aside, if youre on the edge of wanting to join in but dont have a team, Mantic are running a sale on dreadball at the moment...

see here https://www.manticgames.com/games/last-chance/

some teams for just a tenner and if you buy the dreadball extreme box (for a tenner) you get three teams... just saying

Read the title and thought I'd come to the wrong "Big'uns" website...

I collect 28mm scifi minis to do Scifi Pulp Alley games, everything from random necrons to Mantic star saga minis to scratch built shuttles and themed terrain bits..

Along with a shedload if 15mm scifi armies for Gruntz that I havent played in a few years.

I have a bunch of the starter factions for Arcworlde which I've played a few games of, but didnt find any other players for regular games of it. Same with Dropzone commander and Pulp Alley.
