Warning: understatement of the year coming up - I haven’t prepared an after-action report of a club evening for quite some time…

On entry to the club, I was presented with a Star Wars Legion game with Dave Prowse’s alter ego striding forcefully across the table, intent on doing nasty things to the rebellion.

I then moved to the Burrows & Badgers game, where one force was led by a rather tough looking shrew!

On more familiar ground I some spent time taking in a 3rd edition Kings of War game, where the Empire of Dust faced down an army of Abyssal Dwarves.

I then took to the skies with an intriguing WWII aerial combat –Wide Blue Yonder. The playing area was 2’x2’. Amazing for this type of battle.

It was so good to hear the rattle of dice once more.
