oh crap I only just learnt the rules for 8 and that means new codex's. I don't have the money for all this.

I've heard that "9th" is more likely to be "8.5", simplify things a bit, and it should work for small pointed games as well as normal sized ones. This could kill off Kill Team.

Feeling is a current Codex can still be used.

But I could be proved wrong.

Not quite on-topic but for a small scale sci fi game that has a free rules download, can use literally any sci fi figures and will never need new codexes then StarBreach is getting a growing following:

Was just coming to post Starbreach, Free ruleset in PDF format but if you want a physical copy they'll be going on sale soon once the KS has fulfilled to backers.
