Bristol Big'Uns
Welcome to our forums. The Bristol Big'Uns are a group of people who enjoy fantasy, science fiction and historical wargames. We tend to play mostly table-top wargames but you will sometimes see CCGs, CMGs, RPGs or board games. If this sounds like a hobby you currently enjoy then why not come along. The club is based at Iron Acton, between Bristol and Yate, in the recently refurbished Parish Hall and is held Sunday evenings from 6 pm until 10 pm. There are tables and chairs available plus various sized scenic mats and terrain for table-top wargames. Please bring with you any drinks or snacks that you require.

Warhammer Conquest magazine

Just spotted four copies of issue 1 in a local newsagent.
Apparently they will be going back to the distributor soon on a "sale or return" basis so if anyone wants them let me know a.s.a.p.

Cheers, Andy

Re: Warhammer Conquest magazine

Managed to get part 2 today in Thornbury. Sold out in WH Smith and Bailey's News but McColls on Oakleaze Road had three issues left when I was there earlier.

Re: Warhammer Conquest magazine

McColls at Abbotswood has a handful of copies. There is a McColls at Cranleigh Court also, of course.

Issue 2 comes with a play mat which I'll be leaving at the club.

Cheers

Re: Warhammer Conquest magazine

I bought the first issue in a local newsagents and was taken in by the subscription offer. Issues 2&3 arrived a couple of days ago. So far I’ve paid £6.98 and got:

6 Space Marines
3 plague marines
4 full size pots of GW paint
1 starter brush (lesser quality than regular GW brush)
6 D6 dice (lesser quality)
1 pair of clippers
1 GW plastic glue
1 seam scraper tool thingy
1 double sided card game mat

...oh and the three magazines that have basic paint tutorials, game rules, and info on 40k canon albeit aimed at a younger audience but I haven’t read a 40k rulebook since 2002 so I’m not complaining. All in all, I think I’ve got a good amount of stuff for the money paid. Next month, my subscription goes up to the full £31.96 so I’ll re-assess if it’s worth me continuing depending on what items come with it.

Re: Warhammer Conquest magazine

The introductory items certainly represent very good value. I'm sure the value will reduce over time.

I went for off the shelf purchase and have all I want, so will be passing on future editions.

And I'd recommend Kill Team to ease back into the 41st Millennium Jordan.

Re: Warhammer Conquest magazine

Whilst waiting for my fish & chips I popped into the Cranleigh Court McColls and there were a couple of issue 2's.

Today I popped into the One Stop shop @ Wellington Road & they had a couple of issue 3's. Have a care #3 is not on the massive card, so is smaller.

Re: Warhammer Conquest magazine

I’ve seen them in there. They also stock them in the McColls in Little Stoke.

Popping into McColls' today there was a single copy of edition 8. It had an Imperial Psyker with it, for those interested.
