Bristol Big'Uns
Welcome to our forums. The Bristol Big'Uns are a group of people who enjoy fantasy, science fiction and historical wargames. We tend to play mostly table-top wargames but you will sometimes see CCGs, CMGs, RPGs or board games. If this sounds like a hobby you currently enjoy then why not come along. The club is based at Iron Acton, between Bristol and Yate, in the recently refurbished Parish Hall and is held Sunday evenings from 6 pm until 10 pm. There are tables and chairs available plus various sized scenic mats and terrain for table-top wargames. Please bring with you any drinks or snacks that you require.

I don't have anything for those game systems so won't be able to join in.
What about a Deadzone slow grow to get us used to that style of game play

Only issue I have is that I do not have all the funds to pay out in one go so if changing pledge and paying someone else I won't be able to do it.

Ooooo you went for the re-enforcements too 😁 that is cool.
So what is the terrain pack now then?
Would we be doing it for the club or to decide amongst us?

I'm already up to my limit on what I can afford with the pledge but if there is 4 of us in then I could probably put £10 for the stl pledge.
As for the terrain I am not sure

They have updated the pledge manager so you can now actually choose the re-enforcements packs and all the other add ons as add ons instead of putting a value in the bonus support box.
This only seems to be visible on the website and not the app though.

Thought we could have a topic for any bargains found online for board games and the like.

Found one at the moment for Spectre the board game.
Set in the James Bond Universe you are competing to be the best Spectre agent and rise to the top.
Reduced from £50 to £15 at the moment with delivery being approximately £9.29.

I have pledged at the Lieutenant level so can choose 2 factions.
I have also added £60 to the bonus support so when pledge manager opens I can pick the re-enforcement pack and super heavy pack for my main force which will be Asterian.
I am thinking I will pick Rats as the 2nd army if they unlock.

I never got to play Guild Ball but I have some mixed information on it from good game but got a bit ruined in the end.
This article just popped up on my Google news feed suggesting it may be coming back with free rules and free stl for printing.
Here is the link to the article.

This game seems to keep popping up and various advertising windows on webpages and social media.
There is a good quantity of expansions as well and looks like it could be fun.
Anyone had any experience of playing it and could share their thoughts.
I'm starting to seriously look at this as a possible investment in the near future and would like to get some input if anyone has any 😁

For me this year will be working my way through the massive box of Dungeon Saga Origins minis.

I want to continue my journey in the world of Moonstone as well expanding my Goblin collection 😁.

Kings of War will always be lurking and I am going to make every effort to actually put together the Bowser inspired themed Halflings so they can actually be used at some point.
I will look at fleshing out my lovely Ogres too and play around with some different units I have not typically used. I may even get back on my Medusa themed Salamanders.

I have got the Worms board game landing at some point around the summer so can't wait to get some games in on that.

I am also exploring the world of epic battles starting with Full Spectrum Dominance this month.
February sees the launch of Epic Warpath by Mantic and I am excited to see what the costs will be and may jump on the Kickstarter if it is reasonable.

2021 will be the year of the Goblin for me. Getting the shiny new Mantic Goblins to some form of table readiness is probably my biggest project.

Apply some focus back to Star Wars Legion and get them all painted up and try and get some games in at some point.

Vikings are lurking still but struggling to get motivated on them which is a shame.

May continue to look at and grow the wild west exodus minis as I like their aesthetic even if I don't get to play with them.
